Embark Aviation, an airline planning and strategy firm, announced an innovative custom air service model that establishes point-to-point flights to underserved markets in partnership with Maitland, Florida-based ViaAir Inc. Embark and Via are inaugurating this partnership by linking Steamboat Springs/Hayden, Colorado with Austin, Texas and Kansas City, Missouri.
“Embark is excited to work with the ViaAir team to create a new innovative model for resorts and communities to access air service customized for their needs. This game-changing approach creates a new option for communities to establish reliable, quality air service in unserved markets with strong demand,” Embark Vice President, Marketing and Development Clint Ostler said. “Building on the success of the Steamboat service, we look forward to working with other communities and partners to expand our portfolio of flying.”
This pioneering air service model allows Embark to create and manage a customized program that fits the community or resort’s specific needs, including market development, revenue management, GDS distribution, scheduling, and marketing support. ViaAir manages all the operational components of the air service.
“Working with ViaAir and Embark provides Steamboat a completely new, affordable resource for bringing winter guests to Ski Town, U.S.A.®,” said Rob Perlman, president and chief operating officer for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp.
