Sojern’s latest Global Travel Insights Report looks forward to how spring travel is shaping up in different regions, and Latin American travel trends remain as interesting as ever. Here’s what we are seeing in LATAM for spring:

1. Latin Americans look to travel early in April. This year’s Semana Santa begins April 9 and ends April 15, and we see Latin American travelers looking to depart closer to the beginning of the month. The top searched departure days are April 1, 7 and 8.

2. We see a shift in top departure days. Typically, we see travelers looking for departure dates nearer the end of the week, on Thursday and Friday. However, this spring we see 19% of short-haul and 19% of long-haul searches depart on Wednesday

3. You can bet on the beach. LATAM travelers are prioritizing the beach for spring travel, with Cancun the most popular short-haul destination, and Miami topping the long-haul destination list.
