Dana Communications Announces New Director of Interactive, Senior Account Executive and Media Director

Stephen Sharp and Westley Hackmann Join the Dana Team; Karen Paton Takes on New Role.

Dana Communications Dana Communications officially announced the welcome of two new team members to the agency: Stephen Sharp has been appointed to the position of Director of Interactive, and Westley Hackmann to the role of Senior Account Executive. In addition, Dana’s former Media Planner, Karen Paton, has been promoted to the position of Media Director.
As Director of Interactive, Sharp will be responsible for developing effective digital strategies for Dana’s clientele. Working closely with each one, he will be tasked with enhancing current interactive objectives and utilizing his unique experience in collaborating with both the creative and media teams to ensure alignment with current technology trends and best practices for the industry.
Prior to joining the Dana team, Sharp managed creative and interactive services groups at a New Jersey marketing agency. His previous experience spans creative and interactive roles at companies including Experian CheetahMail, PRMC Advertising, Bates Advertising/CCG.XM and Siemens Medical Systems. He is a graduate of The School of Visual Arts in New York City, NY, as well as a member of Creative Directors Worldwide.

Hackmann also comes to Dana with proven success in a fast-paced agency environment. Skilled in developing and implementing strategic communication campaigns that integrate media buying, public relations, advertising, website development, marketing, internal communication and social media, Hackmann will manage various accounts to deliver measurable results to Dana’s clients. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Hackmann brings account experience from his previous roles at other New Jersey-based marketing firms.

In Paton’s new role, she will be responsible for recommending media strategies, creating media plans, overseeing media budgets and supervising the execution and buying of media placements. Karen began at Dana in 2005 and has extensive experience in media planning for hospitality clients. In her time at the agency, she has forged strong relationships with both clientele and the travel and hospitality media.
