Aviation Capital Group LLC announced today that it has signed long-term lease agreements with Interjet for 10 new Airbus A320 Family aircraft. These aircraft are from ACGs order book commitment with Airbus. The first aircraft is expected to be delivered in July 2017.
Interjet announced this week it has taken possession of the first of three Airbus A320neos, the latest version of the A320 line of passenger aircraft. These three aircraft, along with 48 additional Airbus aircraft in Interjets fleet, will service both international and intra-Mexico destinations.
For the month of March 2017, Copa Holdings' system-wide passenger traffic (RPMs) increased 11.9% year over year, while capacity (ASMs) increased 5.9%. As a result, system load factor for March 2017 was 79.6%, a 4.3 percentage point increase when compared to March 2016.
During the first quarter of 2017 (1Q17), Embraer (NYSE: ERJ; BM&FBOVESPA: EMBR3) delivered 18 jets to the commercial aviation market across the U.S., Europe and China. In the business aviation market, 15 aircraft were delivered in the same period, being 11 light jets and 4 large jets. On March 31, Embraer's firm order backlog totaled USD 19.2 billion.
