Travelzoo Inc., a global Internet media company, today announced financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015, with revenue of $36.5 million, a decrease of 9% year-over-year. Net income was $1.9 million, with diluted earnings per share of $0.13, down from $0.31 in the prior-year period.
Consolidated passenger unit revenue (PRASM) for the month of March was flat year over year, as domestic strength offset pressure in international markets, predominantly from currency fluctuations, which reduced system PRASM by 1.5 points. Domestic PRASM grew 2.5% for the month.
Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK) announced non-GAAP net income for the full year 2014 of $1.5 billion, or $1.96 diluted EPS, compared to non-GAAP net income of $1.2 billion, or $1.58 diluted EPS, for the prior year.
Pro forma RevPAR increased 7.2%, Pro forma ADR increased 3.9% and Pro forma Occupancy increased 3.1% - Pro forma Hotel EBITDA Margin increased 114 basis points to 35.6%

During August 2015 Volaris increased total capacity, as measured in Available Seat Miles (ASMs), by 24.1% year over year, responding to a strong market demand. Volaris transported a total 1.2 million passengers in the month, an increase of 27.0% year over year. Volaris’ total demand for August measured in Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) increased 24.8% year over year, reaching 1.1 billion.
