  • Delta Air Lines Delta extends online booking services for meeting and convention travel arrangements

Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) is the first airline to offer customers the convenience of online booking through delta.com with full access to domestic negotiated meeting and zone fares. With just a few clicks, customers using the new feature can make around the clock meeting or convention travel arrangements quick and easy from their home or office.

"Delta continues to focus on making travel easier for all of our customers," said Carolyn Rak, Delta's managing director of Online Sales and Service. "Now, customers can take advantage of their negotiated meeting discounts or access the meeting zone fares using the speed and convenience of delta.com. This time-saving enhancement creates additional options for Delta's customers."

The new Delta Meeting Network(R) feature provides customers with the ability to book meeting zone fares, apply negotiated discounts to eligible itineraries and fares, and take advantage of all other applicable discounted fares, including promotional Web fares. The benefits of this program include special fares to the domestic meeting destination, bonuses such as certificates for complimentary travel based on volume, and personalized professional assistance and promotional support.

The Exclusive Discount Program (EDP) is Delta's online booking tool for negotiated discounts located on delta.com. EDP provides Delta the opportunity to extend negotiated discounts and gives accounts access to Web fares. Select organizations with a negotiated Meeting Agreement can access Delta Meeting Network negotiated and zone fares online using EDP at delta.com via a secure link from the intranet. Customers also may use the ticketing channel of their choice, including a traditional travel agency or the Delta Meeting Network Sales and Service Center, open Monday - Sunday, 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. (ET) at 1-800-241-6760.

Delta.com places customers in control with services and information that increase convenience and efficiency in their travel experience. At the site, customers can choose a seat or change a seat assignment, check flight arrival/departure status, download the latest schedule to their PCs or PDAs and sign up to receive flight status notifications via email or mobile device. SkyMiles members can also check in, print boarding passes, manage their SkyMiles accounts, receive their statements online and redeem frequent flier miles.
