Newly Appointed GBTA Operations Manager Prepares for Growth in China

The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) today announced the appointment of Maggie Wu as Manager, Operations - China.

Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA)  today announced the appointment of Maggie Wu as Manager, Operations - China. The search for a China Operations Manager commenced after a second successful event in the region and a demand for continued professional development in the Chinese business travel sector.
Ms Wu will be responsible for delivery on the China objectives from a wider - Asia Pacific strategy and continuing on the current activities with events, research, membership and education in China.
Speaking of her new role, Victor Lim - GBTA China Chairman and Regional Meeting & Travel Manager IKEA Group Meeting & Travel said: “On behalf of the GBTA China Advisory Board, we would like to welcome Maggie into the role and look forward to continue working with her in broadening our network of buyer, supplier and industry relevant contacts, and to deliver an even more comprehensive and exciting program with GBTA China in the coming years.”
Talking about Ms Wu’s appointment, Welf Ebeling, Vice President, Operations for Asia Pacific said: “Having Ms Wu on the ground to grow our presence in China will undoubtedly see a surge in professionalism in this sector. The China Conference this year received glowing results with 88 percent improvement on 2013’s, and further 91 percent state that they will attend next year.
