Ticket Transactions Increase 1.76 Percent in First Two Months of 2014
ARC, the financial settlement link between airlines and travel sellers, reported today that the consolidated dollar value of airline tickets sold by U.S.-based travel agencies increased 3.66 percent*year-over-year in the first two months of 2014 compared to the same period last year, totalling $15.6 billion versus $15 billion in 2013.
January 2014 ticket transactions increased 1.76 percent over the same period in 2013 to 25.9 million. Year-to-date passenger segments increased 2.3 percent to 55.1 million compared to 53.9 million in 2013.
