Index highlights where travelers will get the most for their money over summer's last big holiday weekend
Labor Day weekend is one of the busiest travel weekends of the season for a reason - it's Americans' last chance for a long weekend getaway before summer slips away. This edition of the Orbitz Insider Index reveals both where travelers are celebrating this holiday weekend and where they will find some of the biggest savings for a late-summer escape.
"Labor Day weekend may mark the end of the summer season, but it's just the beginning of great shoulder season travel deals," said Heather Leisman, senior director of merchandising for Orbitz Worldwide. "With discounts and promotions in top destinations around the country, consumers looking to take a late summer or early fall trip will find plenty of reasons to travel."
