For the month of July 2015, Copa Holdings' system-wide passenger traffic (RPM) increased 2.4% year over year, while capacity increased 5.0%. As a result, system load factor for July 2015 was 78.1%, a 2.0 percentage point decrease when compared to July 2014.
During July 2015, total terminal passengers increased 9.9% in the 12 Mexico-based airports compared to the same period of the previous year; the Montego Bay airport traffic increased 1.4% during the same period. During the month of July 2015, Volaris increased total capacity, as measured in Available Seat Miles (ASMs), by 17.4% year over year, primarily by way of fleet up gauging and through high aircraft utilization. Volaris transported a record 1.3 million passengers in the month, an increase of 20.6% year over year.
