AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV), announced today that the carrier is officially kicking off brand new international service from several markets including San Antonio, Austin, Orange County, Calif., and Chicago Midway, as well as new service between Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

These special fares are available for purchase from August 2, 2011, through August 4, 2011, and are good for travel August 12, 2011, through November 15, 2011, for most of the system. Lowest sale fares are valid for travel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with additional sale fares available Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
These special fares are available for purchase through July 14, 2011, and are good for travel August 23, 2011, through December 14, 2011. Sales fares are valid for travel on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
These special fares are available for purchase from June 7, 2011, through June 9, 2011, and are good for travel June 17, 2011, through November 15, 2011
These special fares are available for purchase from May 31, 2011, through June 2, 2011, and are good for travel June 10, 2011, through November 15, 2011, system wide.
