Air China will commence Beijing-Washington nonstop service on June 10, 2014, making Washington the 7th North American destination that Air China serves alongside New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Hawaii and Vancouver.
The Beijing - Chiang Mai flights, CA823/4, are operated three times a week on Monday/Thursday/Saturday with the B737-800. The outbound flight departs from Beijing at 18:30 Beijing time and arrives in Chiang Mai at 22:40 local time. The return flight leaves Chiang Mai at 23:45 local time and arrives in Beijing at 05:00 Beijing time.
The expanded agreement further enhances the carriers' interline and codeshare services offered via their respective hubs, making it more convenient for customers to travel between Canada and China while extending the Star Alliance partners' international networks.
Starting May 15, Air China will upgrade the airliner on its London (Heathrow) service CA937/8 to B777-300ER, a type quite popular with business travelers, and the daily flights will be offered on the market.
Business and leisure travelers can now book their trip to Beijing and beyond from Houston. Scheduled to start on July 11, 2013, Air Chinas new service between Houston and Beijing was approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation on January 17, 2013.
