Governor Schwarzenegger Signs Bill Ratifying Compact to Allow up to 5,000 Class III Slots at Red Hawk Casino
Lakes Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: LACO) announced today that California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed the bill ratifying the amended compact between the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians and the State of California, which will allow for Class III gaming to be offered at the Red Hawk Casino located in Shingle Springs, California. The casino is currently under construction and will be managed by Lakes Entertainment.

Proposed Oxford County Casino Project Builds Momentum
The Olympia Group has unveiled preliminary plans for Oxford Highlands Resort- Spa-Casino. Executive architect, Peter Wilday, of Reno, Nevada, explained that the four-season facility was designed to capture the feel of a traditional New England village center, with a variety of architectural features such as turrets, roof treatments and storefronts characteristic of buildings in Maine.

The 'green' incarnation of travel, called ecotourism, mandates that travelers minimize their cultural, economic, and environmental impacts as much as possible to promote sustainability.
